View parts 1 & 2.

Desert Tech MDR bullpup with OSS suppressor.

Out of Chile, FAMAE makes SIG licensed SG540 series rifles. This is the SG543.

The FNH PDW is a gun that has been in the works for some time and isn’t always shown. FN last year said they never display military only firearms at SHOT, this year they said we couldn’t take photos, even though we were there as press with the little camera icon on our badges. I expected a knowing nod when I showed him the camera on the badge, instead he looked confused; I hope he got home ok.

H&K MG4. More on this later.

Masterpiece Arms has a few versions of their MPAR, based on the Leader Dynamics rifles by Charles St George.

Noreen setup a machine so attendees could see them work. An interesting idea for an expo.

I shouldn’t have been surprised to see SecureIt at SHOT, but anyone that has checked on the prices have been. Unfortunaely this is not an affordable option for the upper middle class home gun vault, let alone the rest of us that rather spend that money on firearms and ammunition. Great product, and I hope military and law enforcement keep buying it so we can buy up those old surplus military gun racks.

The Scout models is being offered by Steyr in limited numbers with some new camo options this year.

Jessie James got into firearms a few years ago, here is a little over-done belt-fed pistol.

Kriss Vector Gen.II with AR type stock; hopefully the 9mm conversions aren’t too far away.

Here GunDoll is holding a short XCR with a new low profile gas system by Robinson Armament.

Serbu‘s SU-15 will be released soon, as a complete pistol, SBR, carbine, or AR15 conversion.

Spuhr handguards for the MP5, with an Aimpoint mount and an H&K rail in the white.

The guys that first brough KeyMod to market, VLTOR has their SCAR handguards available with KeyMod or picatinny.

Imported by Century Arms, this is the Turkish Canik TP9SA, which was a real surprise at the show. There was a bit of buzz about it and the trigger did not disappoint. Read more

At the Colt booth was a pistol display case showing some M1911’s and a new production .32Auto M1903.
I also noted someone threw away a S&W catalog at the Colt booth. Was this on purpose?

This is the CZ 805 BREN pistol, the MSRP is under $2,000 and the question everyone has is if we can get factory stocks if we SBR it. So far it sounds promising, but if sales are good, after market stuff will likely pick up anyhow.

From Germany, Korth was in Las Vegas with their new revolver and their take on the 1911 (shown).

MKE is returning to the market as imports by Zenith Arms. This appears to be good news for the Turkish licensed copies of the legacy H&K designs. Shown is an AR10 inspired firearm, not currently listed for import, the MPT-76. Read More

PTR Industries had their newly improved PTR32 Gen.2 on display, this 7.62x39mm weapon uses AK magazines in an H&K type roller-delayed rifle. Read more

Doug Marcaida

GunDoll with Doug

Doug Marcaida was at SHOT Show 2015 with Fox Knives showing his DART knife. We looked at it at the 2014 SHOW Show but the knife has had some delays getting released but it is worth the wait.
The wave feature on the back edge catches on the pocket and opens the knife on draw. With the DART you make an OK sign with your hand after getting your first finger into the hole and draw. This keeps the fingers clear to allow the blade to open. Once out, the fist now has a very competent fighting knife at the ready.
